Three women. One mission. A space built for every woman who needed it and couldn’t find it.
Jade Wellness Collective was acquired and transformed by three Black women - Desiree, Stephanie, and Mercedes - who are mothers, trauma survivors, and their own ideal clients. They didn’t build this space from theory. They built it from lived experience.
From personal struggles as moms searching for a space to call home, to feel welcomed and to be cared for - they acquired this business and transformed it into that space. The balancing act of being a mother and a provider. Birth stories that women can relate to. Struggles as women in this world. And because of that, they can support others.
Our mission is to equip women with the tools, connections, and support they need not only to survive, but to truly thrive. We are a wellness center dedicated to nurturing mental, physical, and emotional well-being while cultivating meaningful community connections that uplift and sustain women and their families.
We are building a Ferndale gem that serves women from 12 to 65. From the teen navigating her first cycle to the grandmother looking for community. From the new mom at 2am to the woman entering her next chapter. If you are a woman in Metro Detroit who is ready to invest in yourself, you are always welcomed here.
Desiree Cameron is a visionary community builder, birth advocate, and Black woman entrepreneur whose work spans cities, countries, and creative disciplines. As co-owner of Jade Wellness Collective, she brings bold leadership, deep cultural roots, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of women and families - particularly those who have been overlooked by traditional care systems.
